Lithium vs Tubular Batteries

Tubular batteries are cheaper per nominal kWh on day one. Lithium is cheaper per usable kWh delivered across the life of the installation. Both statements are true, which is why the debate never ends.

Lithium gives you deeper discharge, faster charging, tighter footprint, no watering and no equalisation routine. That last point matters more than most buyers expect: tubular performance falls off a cliff without disciplined maintenance.

Tubular still makes sense where capital is tight, backup duration is short, and someone competent will actually maintain the bank. It is a legitimate engineering choice, not a downgrade.

The right comparison is a ten-year total cost that includes replacement cycles, not a showroom price per unit.
